A former felony prosecutor and experienced litigator, Joey will protect your rights and fight for you.

Joseph K. Hill (“Joey”) is an Attorney at Josh McIntosh Law. He joined the firm in 2023 and specializes in family law, juvenile defense, and criminal defense.  He also assists clients with wills and estates, probate, and general litigation.

Joey graduated from the University of Louisville in 2013 with a BA degree. In 2016, he obtained his JD degree from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law, where he also served as the Student Body Vice President. Prior to joining Josh McIntosh Law, Joey worked as an Assistant Commonwealth Attorney in Kenton County, Kentucky for four years. During his time there, he handled felony cases at all levels and managed a busy caseload that included trials, hearings, and other court proceedings in Kenton County Circuit Court.

In 2021, and prior to joining Josh McIntosh Law, Joey went to work for Adams Law, PLLC, where he was a member of the Litigation Practice Group. His main areas of focus were civil rights, family law, criminal defense, government practice, and various other matters. Joey also provided contract review and general advisory services to local businesses, cities, and government entities.

Fun fact: In 2016, Josh established Josh McIntosh Law, while Joey began his career as a prosecutor. They found themselves on opposing sides in many cases, which allowed them to interact frequently. Through this process, they developed a close friendship based on mutual respect and understanding. Josh witnessed Joey's growth as an exceptional attorney during this time. Years later, this strong bond and recognition of Joey's skills resulted in him becoming the first associate attorney at Josh McIntosh Law.

Apart from his legal career, Joey is passionate about community health and safety. He volunteers as a firefighter with the Fort Mitchell Fire Department and serves as the Treasurer on the executive board of Transitions, Inc., a local drug rehabilitation organization. During his free time, he enjoys attending local community events, exercising, and spending time with his wife, Bethanni, and their dog, Rosie. Joey and his family are residents of Kenton County.
